As an outreach to the
greater community of Lee’s Summit, St. Paul’s Church offers Liturgy of the
Word with Holy Eucharist at 10 a. m. Wednesday mornings in the chapel at
John Knox Village. This service is a said service conducted in Rite One.
Though offered as an outreach to the residents of John Knox Village, this
service is open to all who wish to worship our Lord.
Communion is offered at each service to all
baptized persons regardless of denominational affiliation.
Tuesday and Thursday Services:
Morning Prayer
8:00 a.m.
In addition to the services
of Liturgy of the Word with Holy Eucharist, St. Paul’s Church also offers
Morning Prayer at 8 a. m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This is a
service based on ancient Jewish traditions and patterns of prayer that
formed the basis of the Christian monastic Daily Office. Many elements of
the Morning Prayer come from the monastic hours of matins. It is a
wonderful way to begin one’s day in worship of God and adoration of our
Lord.
