8 a.m.
Our Sunday worship
experience begins with the 8 a.m. service. This is a Rite Two
service, meaning it is conducted in modern English. It also is a
worship service that is sometimes referred to as a Low Mass. This means
the service is a simple Eucharist that is said with all of the
components making it an efficacious service, but one without music.
10 a.m.
The 10 a.m.
Eucharist also is a Rite Two service. However, it differs from the
earlier service in that it incorporates music. This music includes
hymns sung by the congregation and portions of the Eucharistic prayer
chanted by the celebrant. From time to time choral anthems and
offerings by the adult and children’s bell choirs are given.
